U.S. stock exchanges closed higher on positive corporate reports

The main U.S. stock indices finished Friday with growth on the background of positive financial results published by major companies. At closing the Dow Jones rose 0.8 percent, the S&P 500 rose 0.83 percent and the NASDAQ rose 0.69 percent.

Intel added to the positivity by announcing that it expects its margins to increase in the second half of the year. After that the value of its securities jumped by 6.1%. Positive financial results of Exxon Mobil were also a growth driver: the corporation's profit in the first quarter was record-breaking, helped by an increase in oil and gas production. The news from Amazon was negative - the company announced that its cloud technology business will continue to slow growth. Despite the fact that the IT giant's financial results exceeded expectations, its shares fell by 3.98%.
