The dollar will continue to fall – experts

According to the forecast of the Italian company MPS, the dollar will continue to fall this year - its decline in relation to other currencies could reach 5%. The company specializes on exchange rates, in the first quarter of this year it headed the rating of Bloomberg agency in terms of accuracy of forecasts, reports investing.com.

The preconditions for the negative trend of the American currency, according to experts from MPS, is the state of the U.S. economy - it faces recession, the risk of which is increased by the Fed's actions to fight inflation. The company expects the latter by the end of the year. The Fed, according to experts, will raise the rate by another 25 basis points, and the ECB will make at least two similar increases. These steps over the next few months will cause the dollar to fall 3% against the euro.

An additional factor is the problems faced by the banking sector - bankruptcy of American banks and the situation with the Swiss Credit Suisse will lead to deterioration of credit conditions and slow down the economy.
