The cost of gas in Europe has risen above $3,000 per 1,000 cubic meters

The cost of gas in Europe on the ICE exchange yesterday passed $3,000 per 1,000 cubic meters. According to BCS Global Markets, the region receives low volumes of "blue fuel" - the volume of pumped through the Ukraine is only 42 million m³/sec, because, by the decision of the country, one of the entry points of its transport system has been closed. Supplies will shrink even further - the Yamal-Europe pipeline has stopped working due to Western sanctions against Russia, and the current one, Nord Stream 1, will be shut down for maintenance, according to Gazprom's statement.

Russia's gas production levels have fallen 13 percent this year compared to last year, and the decline in exports to non-CIS countries exceeded 36 percent, RBC reported, citing data from Gazprom. In connection with this further growth of gas prices in Europe is probable, according to Gazprom's forecasts they may reach $4000 per 1 thou. m³.

Meanwhile, the West foresees an imminent collapse of the EU and NATO agreements to support Ukraine due to the energy crisis, inflation and the approaching recession, CNN reported.
