European stock exchanges closed mostly in decline before the ECB meeting

The main European stock indexes finished yesterday most of them were down. DAX (Germany) fell 0.38%, FTSE 100 (UK) gained 0.20% and CAC 40 (France) gained 0.19%. Players were cautious ahead of the ECB meeting, which to take place today. This event has the attention of market participants waiting for clarity regarding the regulator's further actions and wishing to to hedge against possible surprises. In the opinion of IG analyst Chris Boshan, as quoted by Wall Street Journal, the latter was the reason for the negative dynamics on Wednesday. However, experts remain optimistic; in their opinion, Central Bank now will not change its monetary policy. The leaders in growth yesterday were airline securities - shares of Lufthansa Lufthansa - added 3%, IAG - 3.3%, EasyJet - 2% amid hopes for of economic recovery acceleration.
