60% of British businesses may stop working due to rising electricity prices

More than half of Britain's businesses face the threat of closure due to a significant rise in the cost of electricity, according to a study conducted by Make UK. According to its data, six companies out of 10 are in danger of closing down.

About 50% of businesses have more than doubled their electricity bills so far, Bloomberg reports. 7% of businesses have already suspended production, 13% have reduced the length of the working day or moved it to another time interval.

According to The Telegraph, Britain faces a number of problems, including impoverishment of the population, serious problems in the economy, financial collapse, political instability and even the splitting of the country. The current situation in the country, according to the publication, is comparable with the Great Depression of the 1930s.

In June, due to anti-Russian sanctions imposed in Britain, imports of all types of fuel from Russia were stopped for the first time.
